Introduction

Kumagaya HIgashi Elementary School is a public school for children aged six years to eleven years (1st-year to 6th-year). Now (sep．2010), 743 children are enrolled, supported by 40staff members.
Our school was founded in 1873 by the reformation of the law. But was re-established as "Kumagaya East Elementary School" in 1947.

Our school follows the national regular education curriculum.

Kumagaya is located in northern of Saitama. It takes about 40 minutes from Tokyo to Kumagaya by the Sinkansen train. Our school is located in town, surrounded by many houses.
